Got Solarflow to supply and install a Sanden heat pump based hot water system. Alex took care to ensure that the job spec was accurate and covered all angles including pavers to ensure that the unit and tank was level. The other recommended installer was only on emails while Solarflow called me right away. All accessories supplied and used in the install were high quality. Both the plumber and sparky were on the money for quality of workmanship. Sanden is a bit more expensive than alternates in the market but looking at the product quality and detail they put into it I have no regrets. Happy with both Solarflow and Sanden. And with my wifi controller I can see that it’s firing up just once a day and it’s all coming from my solar. Clean hot water now.

The path to getting a solar system installed was interesting. The quality of the initial approach, site inspection and realistic expectations communicated Immediately differentiated Solar Flow from the rest of the pack. They were neither the cheapest or most expensive of options. This was partly as I needed to compensate for some partial shading (a factor which some who quoted seemed to overlook), Through the installation process the disruption was minimal, it happened when it was planned and the communication was excellent.Post installation the service has continued to be excellent. There's a remote monitoring feature which Solar Flow keep an eye on and contact for anomalies. The system is operating well and cushioning some of the surge in electricity expenses. It's still a thrill when you see that there's periods in the day when the house is drawing no power from the grid!

Alex and Megan were fantastic from Solar Flow. We had been doing some research for a long time on replacing our gas storage hot water system with a heat pump hot water system. Through our research, Sanden was always near the top of the list of options for best in class. Although expensive, one could not argue that it was one of the best options. I had contacted Alex from Solar Flow earlier in the year regarding a quote. He was one amongst a handful of other quotes that I received. Alex was different in that he was responsive, friendly and informative and wasn't a pushy sales person at all. He told me that the usual lead time would be 3 weeks from order to delivery.Coming into winter, we decided to instead upgrade our air conditioning before making the plunge to buying a heat pump hot water system. Our current gas hot water system was working but we knew it was on it's last legs. I told Alex we decided to wait and he said "Not a problem, contact me when you are ready".Luckily we made it through winter without any incident but in early Spring our hot water system failed. I called Solar Flow and Alex was on leave but Megan took up our issue as though it were her own house that had just lost hot water. She managed to arrange an emergency install with both and electrician and plumber and our new heat pump hot water system was installed within 2 days! An incredible effort given the current labour shortages and supply issues we were experiencing post Covid.The whole crew were very friendly and professional. They took pride in their work and we ended up with an excellent install that was also very neat. I would have no problem recommending Solar Flow for installing your hot water heat pump system. They are efficient, professional and friendly.

Our old gas hot water system died and I messaged Alex right away to get his advice on installing an electric one. We have solar panels and a battery but I didn't know if we should switch to electric from gas. Alex came out the next day to have a look at our set up and explained how efficient and great the electric heat pump hot water systems are.His knowledge about all things solar and the hot water was impressive. Moving back home to Melbourne after spending several years in the US, we were shocked to find that our electricity bill was above $250 per month. More than three times what we paid on average for both gas and electricity in San Francisco.The system causing trouble was a 10 year-old 300L solar water heater backed by a 50L booster installed on the roof of our townhouse. After engaging countless plumbers, repairs were made to the solar unit (thermostat and sensors replaced) and eventually a brand new electric booster was also installed. None of these helped. Our electricity bill was still high and the booster was doing most of the work. We’d run out of hot water within five minutes of starting a shower. Then we’d need to wait another 30 minutes for the water to warm up before the next person could take a shower! We resorted to turning off the hot water system at the switchboard to save on electricity. We’d only switch it on when we needed to take a shower. When it was off, there’d be no hot water at all even if it was a sunny day.But at the peak of winter, the water was too cold. We decided to contact other plumbers who had good reviews but none of them followed up. Either they were not licensed to go on the roof (!) or they’d never call back after the initial visit/repair. Being at our wit’s end, we decided to replace the whole system with a more modern one.We got in touch with Solar Flow. Alex contacted us the very next day. He inspected the current system that same week and talked us through the process. He was very articulate, answered all our questions and explained what we should expect once the Heat Pump was operational. We were quite amazed and relieved at the amount of care and patience he displayed.We signed up for the 250L Sanden Hot Water Heat Pump and three weeks later the Solar Flow team was installing the system. It took them about four hours. It would have been done sooner but the old system and pipes were a mess. Major Kudos to Alex and his master plumber Scott (from EcoWise Plumbing), they did a magnificent job troubleshooting everything to get the heat pump to work as effectively as possible. They also came back to repair and replace some of the older plumbing to ensure there was adequate hot water everywhere around the house.After having the system for almost two months now, we are superbly happy we took the leap. We can now have showers without having to worry about running out of hot water. We no longer have to wait for 30 minutes in-between showers and more importantly, all the showers in the house can be used simultaneously. The amount of time this has saved us over the past month is indescribable; but more crucially the mental strain over those exorbitant bills is now gone. For the first time in almost a year since moving back, we can finally enjoy our home.Alex, Scott and their team restored my faith in the Aussie can-do attitude. We can highly commend their work and professionalism. I was given a personal reference to use this company. This company is socially aware. After talking on the phone, I knew this was the company for me. They were knowlegable, honest and helpful. They asked me questions about my property, my electricity consumption and my expectations of having solar panels. They explained the pros and cons of different panels and pointed out the benefit of a really good converter. I'm not familiar with the bits and pieces of solar, but I didn't have to worry, because everything was explained in a way that I could understand. An installation date was set and they arrived when they said they would. They were prompt and professional. They worked quickly and I had my system up to go in two days. They were polite and friendly. They cleaned up after themselves. They contacted me two weeks after the installation to see if I was happy with how the system was going and if I had any questions. They ended up being the winner on the basis of price, reviews and not least their policy of making yearly charitable donations to organisations recommended by their customers. I was exceedingly happy and impressed with the service, communication, installation process and support/follow up. Alex is very friendly and knowledgeable, and he was flexible and accommodating with the somewhat fluid timelines associated with our build. I am about to approach Alex/Solar Flow again for a quote on a Solar PV install. Highly recommended!

I recently had Solar Flow install a Sanden heat pump hot water system.Alex, who we spoke with to get a quote, was excellent. Importantly for me, he's the person who not only provides the quote but also is in charge of the installation. He was at site from the start, all the way to finish. We did not have a straight forward installation because of our location, but he still made the process run smoothly.Communication was very easy. He contacted me in advance of the agreed installation. He followed up after the installation, even dropping by a couple weeks later to double check on the installation work. He also contacted me a couple times after installation, as I wanted to check the energy usage I was seeing on my utilities' usage website. Alex was very knowledgeable.

Solar Flow/Alex were very quick to do a site visit and provide a quote. Installation was right on time as promised and carried out by Alex. Extremely tidy install along with clean up. Great follow up by Alex post installation to make sure everything was working well. All CoC's provided.The heat pump works magnificently. 5 adults in the house and plenty of hot water. I would highly recommend Solar Flow.

Solar Flow recently replaced our old gas hot water service with a Sanden Heat Pump. The heat pump is functioning perfectly and seems unaffected by Melbourne's recent low overnight temperatures. It is extremely quiet, and although located close to a bedroom window , is not noisy enough for the occupants to hear it when operating.The Solar Flow installation team were great. even though our particular positioning requirements made installation more difficult for them, they listened to our concerns and worked out how to place the tank and heat pump exactly where we wanted it. They were prompt and carried out the installation efficiently and within 8 hours, no mean feat since a plumber and electrician were required to coordinate on site. The team left their working areas spotless, removing all the old hot water service parts as well as their leftover packing materials and bits and pieces from the new equipment.

From the onset of shopping around for quotes, Solar Flow exceeded in not only being the most competitive quote, but also being able to install a Sanden heat pump and tank in less than a week, with the offer of an emergency back up system. This was imperative for us with a young family to have hot water back in the household. We dealt with Tim, who not only came for a site inspection before ordering the product, but was extremely helpful in installing and coordinating with our preferred electrician. Tim and his team were extremely proficient in the removal of old hot water system, delivery and installation and taking time to run through with us the setting up of the new system to suit our needs and to best utilise our solar power. We have seen noticeable cost savings in our utility bills from using this product and will be repeat Solar Flow customers in the future.

I felt this was one company that took the time to ensure I was well informed with the decisions around installing a Sanden heat pump hot water system. Nothing seemed too hard for these guys, they were able to answer all questions, their communication is excellent and they are punctual. They installed the system and even the apprentice had an eye for detail making suggestions on how to position everything so that it looked schmick...and it does! I followed their suggestion of putting the heat pump on a timer so that it takes advantage of my free solar PVs on the roof so that I have free hot water.

Solar Flow energy was great to deal with. We had an urgent need to replace our old system and they were very efficient and accommodating in getting it replaced quickly. There was great communication throughout and the staff were knowledgeable, helpful, pleasant and professional.Some unexpected issues came up and they were dealt with professionally and fairly. About a year ago we moved into our own house and needed to replace an old gravity-fed hot water system with an electric-boosted Rinnai solar installation. Tim quoted competitively, organised all the paperwork and he and his team were on time, efficient and professional - and did a good job too. As soon as the system was commissioned we started to see a pretty hefty reduction in energy used for water heating. While we don't have much data to go on because it was only about six weeks after we moved in, useage was over 7kWh a night for the old system but since the switch, on average it's been well below 2kWh - and that average includes winter so actual improvement is probably more impressive.Friendly, professional, quality installations and the knowledge you're supporting a local company - what's not to like?

Tim Prohansky from Solar Flow is a rare breed of extremely reliable, informative and friendly tradesperson.Tim turned up to quote the job at the appointed time, and completely demystified the solar rebate tariffs.Tim installed a water tank and a solar system at our house - and made sure at every step of the way that each system would reap the best benefits.Tim was very efficient with all paper work required to get rebates and checked in on the systems to make sure that they worked.Overall Tim was super friendly and super reliable - I'd recommend that you get a water tank and solar installed just to have Tim's super efficiency in your corner of the earth!

Excellent service, thanks for being so obliging considering our awkward request. Great advice too. Initial inquiry was regarding how to prioritise placement of solar PV panels and placement of evacuated tubes for solar hot water. Tim advised us to go with a heat pump connected directly to the solar PV panels, which is going to be more cost effective in the long run. Also had particular requests regarding placement of hot water tank, and Tim was very good at problem solving and we've ended up with a great result. Install was exactly as quoted and completed on time.
